Choose your DialBop™ handset: plug, colour and how many

There are three decisions on the DialBop™ order form: the plug, the colour and how many. The plug is the only one that can go wrong, so it comes first. Get it right and the handset works the moment it arrives.

1. Pick the plug that fits your phone

The handset is wired. The phone powers it through the cord, so the plug on the end has to match the port on your phone. Look at the cable you charge with and find it below.

Your phone Order this plug
iPhone 15, 16 or 17 (oval USB-C port) USB-C
iPhone 14 or older (flat Lightning port) Lightning. Ships with the Lightning-to-3.5 mm adapter in the box
Samsung, Google Pixel or another Android with USB-C USB-C
Any phone with a round headphone hole 3.5 mm headphone jack

A plain USB-C-to-Lightning charging cable does not carry the call, so a USB-C handset would do nothing in an iPhone 14; that is why the Lightning option exists. And while the handset is plugged into a USB-C or Lightning port, that port is busy, so you cannot charge on the same cable at the same time. If you are buying for someone else and cannot check their phone without spoiling it, Email support@dialbop.com with the phone model, or a photo of their charger, and we will tell you.

We sell the handset for iPhone and Android phones. We have not tested it on flip phones, tablets or laptops and do not promise it works with them.

2. Pick a colour

  • Signal red. The one from the video. Pick it if the room should notice.
  • Bubblegum pink. Same handset, softer. Pick it if the desk already has a colour scheme.
  • Matte black. Added on September 6, 2026, because a lot of first-week buyers wanted one they would not have to explain.

All three have the same matte, slightly rubbery finish, the same coiled cord and the same controls.

3. Decide how many

  • One handset. For your own desk or armchair.
  • The Duo. Two handsets, the second at half price. Any mix of colours and plugs, so one can be for you and one for the person you call most.
  • The Trio. Three handsets, buy two get one free.

Each handset in a pack gets its own plug and colour, so a Duo can be a red USB-C for you and a black Lightning for your dad. The discount applies in the cart without a code, and shipping is free whatever you choose.

What you are ordering

  • A corded 1980s-style telephone handset: two round cups joined by a curved handle, matte ABS plastic, solid in the hand.
  • The coiled cord, attached, ending in the plug you chose.
  • A round button on the inside of the handle that answers a call and hangs it up.
  • A + VOL - rocker on the edge, under your thumb. Your phone's own volume buttons work too.
  • For Lightning orders, the Lightning-to-3.5 mm adapter.

There is no battery, no app and nothing to pair. Plug the cord into your phone and the next call rings in the handset.

Where it earns its place

  • On a two-hour call your ear stays cool and your arm stops aching, because the handset weighs what a phone used to weigh and has no screen to press against your cheek.
  • On a video call with the family, prop the phone up, hold the handset, and you see everyone while you talk without shouting at a speaker.
  • On a desk that takes calls, it lives plugged in on the table where you work, and it is there when the phone rings.
  • As a gift for the person who had one on the kitchen wall. There is no setup, which matters when the recipient does not want another thing to pair.

Two things to know before you pay

  • The cord is shorter than you are picturing. It stretches for a desk, an armchair or a bed, and not for pacing the kitchen.
  • Your voice sounds like 1985. The other person hears the warm tone of an old landline. Most buyers want exactly that. If you need studio-clean audio for work calls, this is not that.
